XBODY is an electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) device that allows you to build muscle and improve strength in a safe and efficient way. A 20-minute XBODY training session is equivalent to at least 90 minutes of traditional strength training

What is EMS Training?

EMS training, also known as Electrical Muscle Stimulation training, has a long history of use in medical and rehab settings due to it’s ability to target specific muscle groups. Within a medical setting, EMS is used to aid in recovery, offer pain relief and assist in the reactivation of muscles. In recent years, EMS training emerged – originally innovated as WB-EMS (Whole Body EMS) – as a revolutionary fitness method.

HOW DOES EMS TRAINING WORK?

Understanding how EMS training works is essential to ensure your clients are reaching their full potential. In EMS training, you will wear a specifically designed suit that is equipped with electrodes that deliver electrical impulses to [up to] 12 muscle groups at once. By mimicking the natural signals sent by your brain, EMS training suits are able to contract specific muscles on-demand for specific muscle group training. We are training the neural system while delivering treatment and training at the same time.

During traditional strength training, you would normally activate about 35% of muscle fibres in about 1 to 3 muscle groups that are being targeted in any movement. With EMS training we can demonstrate that 90-95% of muscle fibres are activated in all major muscle groups in the entire body simultaneously. Furthermore, we can control different parameters that affect how intense or deep the stimulation is or even what type of muscle fibres we are activating.

And that’s why 20 minutes of EMS training is more than enough. We can demonstrate that it is equivalent to at least 90 minutes of resistance training in the gym. For the client, it’s the training time that they appreciate as the biggest difference to conventional training.  That’s why EMS training is ideal for people who struggle to find time to maintain a fitness routine within their busy schedule.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF EMS TRAINING?

01

BUILD MUSCLES

By targeting multiple muscle groups at once, EMS training can help you build functional muscle and improve overall body composition. Furthermore, Electrical Muscle Stimulation is the fastest way to build strength and grow muscles because of the massive muscle activation and huge hormonal response.

02

IMPROVE POSTURE

Using EMS can help improve your posture, as the special training programs contain exercises for the back, the lower back, the abs and even the shoulders.

03

ACHIEVE A TONED BODY

EMS strength training combined with EMS cardio, can help you tone up, burn fat and reduce cellulite. EMS will increase circulation through the skin and fascial tissue, which improves skin tone and reduce cellulite.

04

RELIEVE JOINTS

With EMS, you can acheive massive muscle activation without putting any pressure on the joints. This makes EMS a safe and highly effective way to train. EMS is ideal after joint replacements or anyone with restricted movement or mobility.

05

MUSCLE BALANCE

EMS is ideal for improving any muscular imbalances in the body by stimulating ALL of the muscles, including those with a weaker neural connection.

06

SAVE TIME

“Not enough time” is no longer a valid excuse. With EMS you can achieve the results of a 90-minute training in just 20 minutes, and the training can be adjusted specifically to help you reach your goals
